Behind The Scenes at the FW15 Shoot

Behind The Scenes at the FW15 Shoot

I’m excited to share some exclusive behind the scenes images from my KLS FW15 collection look book shoot. I feel fortunate to have collaborated with some of the most highly regarded fashion professionals in the industry – including master stylist Karl Templer and renowned photographer Christian McDonald. A primary goal of mine was for the images from the shoot to reflect a stark contrast between the edge and sophistication that exists in the collection. This contrast stems from competing aesthetics of feminine fabrics and structured shapes that were my inspiration for FW15.

Our models, Leila and Chiharu brought this duality to life by boldly inhabiting the space between. They are both so strong and yet still exude a femininity that connotes the wearability of the collection. The FW15 collection – to my mind – reflects the concept of private moments becoming public. Leather bands, lace detail, silk camisoles, organza and lingerie dressing become transitional, for all day wear. Additionally, the collection offers a rich navy as a more optimistic alternative to staid black. These elements translate into an allure that I know you’ll agree set a smart foundation for a vibrant and exciting Fall season.
